Shri Sakthikailassh Women’s College (SSWC), first private self-financing women’s college in Salem, affiliated to Periyar University. The college was established in the year 2004 with the motto to empower the women community. At inception in 2005, the college started with 497 students offering 11 UG programmes. At present the college holds 4021 students with 20 UG programs, 9 PG programs and 7 M.Phil programs. The college acts as the Nodal Centre for IIT-Bombay- Spoken Tutorial has established Institution Innovation Council, National Cyber Resource center, IPR Cell and Equal Opportunity Cell.
