Madras Medical College is one of the premier institutions in the country located in Chennai- the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Being established in the year 1835, it is the third oldest medical college in India. The first batch of students graduated in 1852 and the college gained affiliation to the University of Madras in 1857. The Courses offered by the Madras Medical College are affiliated from 1988 to the “The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University”. The college is affiliated to nine hospitals that serve as the teaching hospital of the institute.
