K.A.P Viswanatham Government Medical College was started in the year 1997, named after K.A.P Viswanatham, who is a well-known Tamil scholar. The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital is attached to the K.A.P.V Medical College and is 2 km from the university campus. This hospital is named after the Government Hospital of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of the Father of our Nation. Since 1857 the hospital has been very valuable and this hospital has been providing the best medical care for over 152 years.
